We will shortly be in the process of creating your individual packets. They will be sent directly to your home. However, there are some details you might want to know before the packet arrives.
TOUR GUIDE: You will be using the tour guide from the Goshen group. (There are actually 3 people who can help.) If you have a concern, please ask her. I will be out of town with another group but I will have an experienced person to greet you at the Cracker Barrel before boarding.
PARKING: Yes, there will be limited room for parking. If you can car pool it would be great. All the way to the back and left - please stay clear of the garbage area so the trucks can easily get into the dumpsters.
NAME TAGS: You will be given a lanyard and name tag as you check in. Please make sure you wear it, not only to make new friends, but it is also our admission to the restaurants, museums and any other actitivites.
LUGGAGE: You will need one overnight bag for 1 night on the way out and also on the return. This will be placed in a separate bin below the coach. You will be responsible for getting the bag to and from your room. You will also need a main bag. This one will have the DIAMOND BAG TAG we provide in your packet. This bag will be placed in a separate bin under the coach and WILL NOT be accessible until Branson. This bag will be delivered and picked up from your room. If you would like to have a small bag for the coach, it must be able to fit into the over head compartments. (Please make sure you have any medicines with you.) A COMFORT TRAVEL BAG TAG is also included for your overnight or carryon bag if you wish to use it. Your bags will be placed in a separate bin on the way home so they can easily be pulled out at the Cracker Barrel.
COACH: We should have extra space available on the coach. Please be polite and share so everyone can have time to spread out if they need it. Yes, there is a washroom on board. Since we will be stoppping every 2-2 1/2 hrs, please use it only in an emergency. This is a safety issue to minimize the amount of people walking in the aisles. NO wifi available on board. The loading will be on the south side of Cracker Barrel.
CLOTHING: Wear comfortable clothing. Dress in layers. The coach could be cooler or warmer but is adjusted for the comfort of the entire coach. Below is a temperature guide for the area. Evenings usually cool down so a light jacket could also be good. Wear comfortable Shoes!
HOTELS: Free wifi available. Indoor pools available (some under construction). Breakfast is included. All inside corridors.
GRATUITIES: The tourleader will help collect the tips where needed. Rule of thumb toward tipping is:
Coach Driver = $2 per person per day
Step on Guides/ Tram Tour Driver = $1 per person for every 1-2 hours of the tour. All day guide $3-$5 per person per day
Buffets = $1 per person left at the table
CELL PHONE: If you have a cell phone that you will be taking with you, please make sure to update us ASAP. That way the tour leader can reach you if need to do so.
PROMPTNESS: Please make sure you are on time for the coach at each stop. Although we would not leave anyone behind, even one person being late to get on the coach could affect the entire itinerary. Often we are to meet guides or have entrance to venues at a particular time and we could miss out on that activity if we are late.
PICTURES: We love pictures! If you would like to share some with us, please do. We would love to put them on the webite so all of your fellow passengers can see them too. If you would like to do that, please email them to email@example.com
